Commissions

From carrier statement to sealed period

Statements are matched line by line, accruals are priced under the hierarchy in force on their date, and every payout, reversal and bonus posts to a ledger you can hand to your accountant.

The books

A ledger you can close, and hand to your accountant

Kaffeine is a commission subledger with a real double-entry general ledger underneath: journal, trial balance, profit and loss, balance sheet and period close. Posted entries cannot be edited, sealed periods stay sealed, and the general journal and trial balance export in a file QuickBooks Online and Xero both import.

  • Corrections post as new entries on their own date
  • Sealed periods stay sealed
  • Producers' own earnings cross-checked against the engine
  • Multiple legal entities on one consolidated ledger
